The Best Date Idea in LA That Isn't Dinner and a Movie

Cuddling with puppies during a puppy yoga date class in LA

Let's be honest — dinner and a movie is fine, but it's not exactly memorable. If you're looking for a date idea in LA that actually sparks something, puppy yoga might be it.

Why Puppy Yoga Works as a Date

Here's the thing about a great date: you need something that breaks the ice, creates a shared experience, and gives you something to talk about after. Puppy yoga nails all three.

You're on a yoga mat, trying to hold a pose while a puppy chews on your shoelace. You're laughing. Your date is laughing. There's zero pressure, zero awkwardness, and by the end of the hour you've bonded over something genuinely fun.

It works for first dates, anniversaries, and everything in between. We've had couples book it as a proposal setup (yes, really).

The Details

Puppy & Flow runs classes every Saturday and Sunday in Westwood, Los Angeles. Here's what a date session looks like:

  • 60 minutes of guided yoga with rescue puppies
  • $55 per person — less than most LA date nights
  • BOGO deals run regularly — when our Bring a Friend promo is live, one ticket is free
  • Small groups — max 22 people, so it's intimate
  • Location — Westwood, easy from Santa Monica, Brentwood, Beverly Hills, UCLA

How to Turn It Into a Full Date Day

Morning date: Book a 9:30 or 11:00 AM class, then walk to Westwood Village for brunch. Lots of spots within a few blocks.

Afternoon date: Take the 1:00 PM class, then drive 10 minutes to the Getty Center for sunset views. Free entry.

Double date: Grab a group of 4 and come together. When our group promo is running, groups of 3+ get 50% off — that's $27.50/person for a full hour with puppies.

What People Actually Say

Every week we see the same reaction: people walk in a little nervous and walk out grinning, covered in puppy hair, already talking about when they're coming back. It's the kind of date you'll actually remember.

Book It

Don't overthink it. Grab a spot, text your person, and show up in comfy clothes. The puppies handle the rest.
